Overview

Your computer should disappear into the background while you do your work. When it doesn't — when it's slow, popping up weird windows, refusing to start, or making fan noises like a jet engine — that's where we come in. We've been fixing computers since middle school and building software professionally for years. The same person who builds platforms for million-user apps will sit at your kitchen table and recover the family photos off your dead laptop.

Process

How we work

01

Tell us what's wrong

Quick text, call, or form. We'll give you a flat-rate quote up front for the common stuff and a diagnostic price if it's a mystery.

02

Drop off or we come to you

Pick what's easiest. We meet at a coffee shop in La Crosse, or we drive to you within the 75-mile radius.

03

We diagnose & fix

Most jobs turn around the same week. You'll get a written summary of what was wrong and what we did — not just "it's fixed."

04

Back to you, ready to go

Computer comes back faster than you remember it. We follow up a few days later to make sure everything's still happy.

Frequently Asked

Computer Repair FAQ

Do you actually come to my house?

+

Yes, within 75 miles of La Crosse. Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, La Crescent, Sparta, Tomah, Winona, Caledonia, Viroqua, Decorah, Black River Falls — and most points in between. Outside that radius, we'll do remote support over secure screen-share.

How fast can you fix my computer?

+

Most jobs are same-week. Easy ones (virus removal, Wi-Fi fixes, password resets) often same-day. If we have to order a part (laptop screen, battery), it's usually 2–4 business days for the part plus a day to install.

What if you can't fix it?

+

If we can't fix it, you only pay the $75 diagnostic — and we'll tell you exactly what's wrong and whether it's worth replacing. No upsell to a doomed repair.

Will I lose my files?

+

Almost never. We image your drive before any major work. If the drive itself is failing, we'll tell you up front what's likely recoverable and what the cost looks like — data recovery from a dead drive is its own beast.

Do you fix Macs?

+

Yes — macOS reinstalls, data migrations, slow MacBook tune-ups, battery and screen replacements on older models. We don't touch newer M-series logic boards (those need Apple), but the vast majority of Mac issues we can handle.

Can you help my small business?

+

Yes. We do on-site workstation tune-ups, network fixes, printer setup, and ongoing IT for small teams in the area. If you want a heavier IT relationship, we can talk a monthly retainer.

Is the price fixed?

+

For the tier you pick — Quick Fix, Tune-Up, Full Repair — yes. The only variable is parts cost on a Full Repair, and we always quote that before we order anything.
